Our Journey

Welcome to our Little Miracle's page. As many of you know this has been a huge Journey for us. God tested us in many ways and through it all we remained close and as a reward he Blessed us with a Baby in his timing.
In 2007 we went in for testing and to make sure everything was in place for the process of making a baby. Surprisingly, we discovered that we were faced with a fertility battle. At this point walls went up and we hit a bumpy road in our marriage. We really had to find ourselves and then get a grip on life and just face it. We were carefully advised to seek help/information from Specialst. After some research and discussing our options with family members and close friends we decided to pursue our options. We went through 2 IUI's and were unsuccessful both times. This was devasting because we didn't know why and we still didn't have answers. This is when it really became tough. Just not knowing and not being able to find out answers. The fertility specialist that we were seeing here...told us he was going to send us the best specialist that he knew of.
Dr. Larry Lipschultz in Houston Texas is definately a Heaven sent angel. We went into his office, at first we felt uncomfortable, in our eyes we were faced with two negatives. We felt like they were going to take us for a joke...we were the only young, black couple in there. Everyone that was coming in was much older and appeared to be very established. After the three hour wait, Dr.L., introduced himself and had my hubby cough one time and then again. It took 5 seconds for him to diagnose my husband. He diagnosed him with Varicole it is very common in most athletes. WOW...who what have ever thought that something like this could happen to us. We didn't...after driving to his office a couple of times we establised a plan to help us achieve our dream of having our family one day. Robert is a strong man and he is very family oriented...with that being said he was determined to do whatever necessary to be able to start our family. He had his corrective surgery in July 08. Dr. L told us it would be several months until we would know if we would be able to have children on our own. Well 8 months later our dreams came true. I can't describe the feeling that ran through the both of us. Completely Shocked...we hadn't been trying at all we were just focusing on the two of us and falling back in love all over again. It was amazing. On that early morning in March...God proved to us that if we believe in him and give all of our worries and concerns to him....that he will work it out in HIS timing.
